Miami Metrozoo and CBS4 are hosting a contest to identify a student who has done something extraordinary to help the environment.
To nominate an individual, please log onto http://www.miamimetrozoo.com/ , click on the “Eco-Hero Contest” icon, fill out the form and submit it online. Anyone can submit a nomination but the person nominated must be a student between the ages of 11 and 14 (as of December 31st, 2010) who resides in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Monroe Counties.
The winner will be named Florida's student "Eco-Hero" and receive and all-expense paid trip worth $10,000 for the student and an adult parent/guardian to visit Yellowstone, Glacier and Grand Tetons national parks.
The trip will be chaperoned by Ron Magill and documented by CBS4 for broadcast as a television special at a later date.
