Nature as Designer: Where Science & Nature Collide, Authentic Assessment Throughout time renowned artists have been recognized for their outstanding work in interpreting science and nature through art. Artists discovered the beauty and richness of nature through their thoughtful palette selections and compositions. The work of Albert Durer, Leonardo Da Vinci, Marianne North and Charles Darwin along with Guiseppe Arcimboldo and Edward Weston have reflected the social, historical and aesthetic context in which science and nature have been interpreted through design, color and expression.
• Open to grades K-12. 2D Artwork ONLY.
• Use the mia-Gallery exhibition label and attach to backside of artwork. Do not adhere any labels to artwork mats. Artwork should be no larger than 18” x 24” matted.
• All artwork labels must be TYPED.
• All artwork should be matted and properly labeled and sent to the Division of Life Skills.
