Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibit

Hispanic Heritage 2011:
Many Backgrounds, Many Stories….One American Spirit
Muchas culturas, muchas historias…pero solo un espirito Americano
Art Exhibit
We will be commemorating the start of Hispanic Heritage with a special program this year.

We are lucky to have the PIAG Museum Coral Gables, bringing a mobile art exhibit to our school.

The exhibit will feature contemporary Latin/South American Artists as well as the popular art cubes (you might have seen them at places like Tropical Fairchild Gardens)- we will also have the opportunity to create 6 cubes of our own for the museum- based on Father Varela and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Date: September 15th
Periods: 2,4
Times: 20 minute sessions

If you would like to bring your class to the Media Center to experience this exhibit
1. Please send an e-mail to D. Vinat by the end of the day Tues 9/13 with your name, the periods you would like to go and the number of students per class.
2. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the periods and specific time to bring your students.
3. Teachers be aware that if your bring your class to the exhibit students are required to complete an assignment in your class related to the art work. In the confirmation e-mail you will receive a listing of suggested class activities. You will need to turn in the best student samples for the grant that allowed for this exhibit to come to our school.
