May the Best Art Win

Does your art have what it takes to win the prize?
Compete against artists across the world.
May the best art win.

About MtBAW
May the Best Art Win is the culmination of much creative engineering between artist Zachary Brown and Ben McCloskey, owner of Engine Industries. We exist to provide a competitive venue for artists who wish to gain exposure for their art and who wish to build their resume. We aim to be the best value for artists who participate in juried exhibitions by keeping the cost to participate low and providing the highest quality in regards to usability, visual appeal and exposure/marketing. A contest on MaytheBestArtWin.com is not a popularity contest. Art is not inherently "better" or of higher quality because the artist has more friends. Our Juror decides who gets the prize. In case you couldn't tell, we want the best art to win.

Rules
Terms:

All artwork must be original.

Any art submitted must have been created within 2 years of the contests end date.

MtBAW currently does not support 3D artwork. (i.e. sculpture)

Uploaded images should relate in some form to the theme for that month's show.

By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that they are 18 years old and older.

Uploaded images will be archived on MaytheBestArtWin.com and will remain indefinitely.

By entering the contest, entrants grant MaytheBestArtWin.com a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any MaytheBestArtWin.com purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotion of the Web site, exhibition, and commercial products, including but not limited to MaytheBestArtWin.com publications. Art may appear on MaytheBestArtWin.com's Web site as well as in affiliated publications. Any art reproduced will include an artist credit. MaytheBestArtWin.com will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Who may enter:

Artists ages 18 and over—except for individuals affiliated with MaytheBestArtWin.com, including employees, interns, volunteers, and their immediate families (children, siblings and spouses) and others living in their households—are eligible. MtBAW will determine winners' eligibility.

What to enter:

Submitted art should adhere to the terms and should be submitted by an artist who is eligible as perscribed in the "Who may enter" section of our rules.

Uploaded images should have no borders

Entry Deadline:

The last day of any month is the upload deadline for participation in the following months show. As an example, any artist who wishes to compete in a show in February must have the images they wish to submit uploaded by the last day in January. A show in the month of February would run from the first day to the last day of that month. Entries for a show in March could be uploaded any day in February but would not be displayed until the March show began on March first.

Judging:

The winner will be selected by the juror presiding over any given show. The "best art" for that show will be selected by the juror based on consideration of merit, skill, and perceived aesthetic qualities. May the best art win.
