Your School is invited to participate in the 2010 Youth Arts Day & Music Fest, 5K Dash or both. There are numerous ways for your school, clubs, sports teams, or individual students can raise funds or bring awareness through participating in the Youth Arts Day & Music Fest, 5K Dash or both. Community service hours will be offered. The 5K Dash begins promptly at 9 am on Saturday, March 6th, Deering Estate at Cutler (16701 SW 72 Avenue, Palmetto Bay), Visitor Center. The 2010 Youth Arts Day & Music Fest will take place Sunday, March 7th on the main grounds of the Estate from 10 am to 5 pm. All proceeds from the event will be donated to S.O.S sponsored charities.Co-hosted by Students Offering Support and the Deering Estate at Cutler, Youth Arts Day & Music Fest is a community collaboration celebrating youth artists and creating awareness for the rich emerging resources Miami-Dade County has to offer. Youth Arts Day & Music Fest features a month long visual and literary art exhibition as well as a day long series of youth performance art on Sunday, March 7th. A 5K Dash from the Estate through the community and back to the Estate will invite the community to participate on Sunday, March 7th, Youth Arts Day & Music Fest. Founding members of the Living Artist Concert Series and Artists in Residence will act as mentors available for portfolios reviews, exhibits and performances. Youth volunteers along with park naturalists will host Kid’s Zone in the Palm Grove with activities, face painting, eco-art projects and much more. And, youth visitors are given free admittance to the Estate.

Advance registration: $10 admission, Same day registration: $15 admission for 5K Dash
